San Francisco shoegaze duo Seatraffic gives away new single ‘Crimes’
As if shoegaze duo Seatraffic could come from anywhere but San Francisco. Singer/synth player Mark Zannad and drummer Brandon Harrison make dreamy music that evokes the chilly, enveloping haze of a Bay Area fog just as the sun starts burning it off.
It’s a powerful, compelling sound on “Crimes,” the A side of a forthcoming 7-inch single, “Crimes/Put Away,” which is due Aug. 1. Harrison’s drums propel the song with regal grace while swirls of synthesizer drift past Zannad’s vocal intonations.
The single is the follow-up to a self-titled debut EP the band released last November.
