Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers to go on hiatus at the end of 2012

Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers will go on hiatus at the end of 2012, the Northampton-based singer and songwriter announced Monday via his website.
“There’s nothing wrong,” wrote Kellogg, a Connecticut native. “Change is good. It just means that after the end of the year we have no recording or touring plans as SK6ERS. Following almost a decade of living together as ‘road dogs,’ some of our gang needs a moment to explore some other facets of life. As such we’re taking a break from our band.”
Kellogg promises a tour to “celebrate before we hibernate” with a tour the band will announce July 9. He also says he’ll begin work on a new record this summer.
“Me and my songs aren’t going anywhere, in fact there are some really exciting things on the horizon…but that’s in the future,” Kellogg writes.
See you later, see you soon …
