Ben Folds Five to play Sept. 13 at Mountain Park in Holyoke
The reunited Ben Folds Five extends its first tour in 12 years with dates including a show Sept. 13 at Mountain Park in Holyoke. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 13, at 10 a.m. for $55, $45 and $30, via www.nbotickets.com.
Most widely known for the melancholy single “Brick,” the band, actually a trio, formed in 1993 and split the first time in 2000, as frontman/pianist Folds embarked on a solo career. The group got back together in 2011 to record three new songs for a three-disc retrospective. The reunion led to plans for a new album, which is due in September.
I think the newest Ben Folds Five song is awesome – immediately loved it and it might even already be one of my favorites from the band. These guys are gonna kill it on tour and with the new album. So very stoked for this
