UK duo Bitches hits U.S. for tour, gives away noisy 'Wallet'

Now here’s a heady combination: London duo Bitches promises “to play loud songs and tell good, clean jokes” on a U.S. tour that kicks off today in New York and winds its way to SXSW next week in Austin, Texas.

We can’t vouch for the jokes, but the loud-songs part is certainly true. Bitches sent over the tune “Wallet” for us to give to you, and it’s a thrillingly chaotic track featuring fuzzed-over bass that barrels along over steady, thudding drums while Blake Ivinson howls out vocals anchored with a melodicism that’s a little surprising, given the level of noise he and Staz generate.

Also: it’s not evident in this photo, but more recent images of Blake reveal that he has one of the best beards we’ve ever seen.

“Wallet” comes from a split 12-inch Bitches released last year with Yuppies. The duo has a new EP, “Buster,” due March 18 on Gravy.
