Shuddering new electro track from FuzZ creates riveting retro-future mood

Although we love LCD Soundsystem, a little electro goes a long way for Listen, Dammit. FuzZ, though, makes the cut.

It’s the musical persona of David Streit, a filmmaker who’s branching out into electronic music with “Sparkle Vision,” a new 23-minute collection of weird-ass music.

For example, free song “Marshmallow Bazooka” piles a shuddering synthesizer part over clear, chiming notes and a dark, glossy rhythm for a retro-future video-game soundtrack vibe.

“Sparke Vision” is out today on Spectrophonic Sound, the label run by N.A.S.A.’s Squeak E. Clean.
