Lake Street Dive performs Nov. 30 at the Academy of Music as part of Signature Sounds’ 20th anniversary celebration.

Northampton’s Signature Sounds record label celebrates its 20th anniversary this Thanksgiving weekend with a three-day celebration featuring performances by Lake Street Dive, Chris Smither and a reunited Crooked Still. They’re among 18 artists who have recorded for the label who are set to help mark the milestone. The concerts will take place in Northampton at the Academy of Music and the Parlor Room, which is the intimate performance space in Signature’s headquarters on Masonic Street.

Festivities begin Friday, Nov. 28, when Smither celebrates his 70th birthday, and 50th year as a performer, at the Academy of Music at the top of a bill that also includes Mark Erelli, Jeffrey Foucualt, Kris Delmhorst and Peter Mulvey. Smither and Signature founder Jim Olsen will do what a press-release describes as an “in-depth interview” before the show at the Parlor Room.

On the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 29, singer Tracy Grammer and special guests will play a tribute to her late husband, songwriter Dave Carter, at the Parlor Room. Carter and Grammer released three albums together before his death in 2002 of a heart attack at 49. Saturday night, the Academy of Music hosts Eilen Jewell and her band, along with Winterpills, Heather Maloney, Barnstar!, the Sweetback Sisters and Zoe Muth & the Lost High Rollers.

The celebration continues on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 30, when Crooked Still reunites for the first time since 2012 to headline the Parlor Room as part of a lineup that also includes Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem and the Sacred Shakers. The festivities conclude Sunday evening when Lake Street Dive plays the Academy of Music with Miss Tess & the Talkbacks and Northampton’s And the Kids, who are releasing their debut on Signature later this year.
