If there’s one thing we know well, it’s that Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nuthin’ to fuck wit. That was especially true on the group’s masterful 1993 debut, “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).”
The Wu shows little sign of having fallen off on its latest, “Laced Cheeba,” a classic sounding jam featuring rhymes from Ghostface, Sean Price and Trife Diesel, over a deep, hypnotic bass line interspersed with snippets of nutty dialog from some obscure kung-fu movie. In other words, it’s everything you could possibly want from a Wu-Tang track except Ol’ Dirty Bastard (RIP).
The song is from “Legendary Weapons,” due July 26. It’s the first new album from Wu-Tang Clan since “8 Diagrams” in 2007.
